What Is It Wednesday #34
Here’s last Wednesday’s picture:
And this is what it was cropped from:
(You’ll have to click on the picture to make it large enough to see the spot of rot; it’s just about right in the middle)No one got this correct, but rampantbicycle came closest: “A sickly leaf?“
Ari’s comment, “I don’t know what this new photo is of but I do see a screaming face in it. Isn’t that wierd?” cracked me up (I saw the same thing!) as did Heather’s: “I think it’s a halloween blob monster that forgot to come out on time – he’s a little late that’s all.
“; it reminded me of my cousin Mel’s blob story!
As always, thanks for playing; also, many thanks to Laura for reminding me it was Wednesday!

I am not permitted to see the enlarged edition. However it looks like a part of a flower.
PS. A good idea with this contest.

That looks like part of a bulb of garlic to me (near the base, you know, where the cloves break off). Though I suppose it might also be an onion of unusual whiteness.

It’s either garlic or a scary onion.

Wow, I have no idea!!

Damn, I was on a roll there for a few weeks, but these last couple of weeks you’ve totally stumped me.
The white part looks like feathers to me, but if they are feathers I don’t know what they’re attached to. I have no idea what this is!

The bottom end of a bulb of garlic.

Oh, that HAS to be garlic.

When I first saw it, I thought, Oh, I didn’t know Boston had a snow storm! It looked like lots of snow over a wood pile with some barbed wire in the background…
After reading the other comments, though, I can definitely see that it is most likely a bulb of garlic, and I need serious psychological counseling…

Damn, your photos are so tricky! But I’ll go with the sideways garlic.

A day old bagel & cream cheese? Well…that is what I thought at first, but after reading others, I’ll go with the sideways garlic too! LOL

I was thinking the top (or bottom) of a garlic bulb, too… too bad everyone else beat me to it.

Why does everything look like what I imagine and STD to be? What is wrong with me? I need to concentrate more on visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

It looks like a lacy edge on tafetta material to me.
