Phew!
Had a great, albeit tiring weekend! How you people with kids do it I’ll never know LMAO! Dave’s 12 yr old (13 next month) grandson spent the night Saturday night.
- walked around my town
- ate lunch at a Greek place
- went to Barnes & Noble (he recommended a book to me, Three Cups of Tea, and while I had heard of it, never felt the desire to read it…and I’m glad he talked me into it, cause it’s intriguing!)
- got home before the roads froze
- made dinner
- drove to the store on the ice covered streets to get TP
- played Beatles Rockband (singing and guitar)
- had reading hour
- finally, finally went to bed!
The next day after breakfast with him (boy, can that kid put away some food!) and my friend Michelle (Dave had band practice), Michelle and I dropped him off, then did some shopping at the mall. I got home and took a nap, watched a bit of tv, napped again, warmed up spaghetti and meatballs for Dave for dinner, read some, kissed Dave goodnight and went to bed about 830. LOL!
Still a little bit tired, so maybe I’ll nap a little during this:
How was your weekend?

Exactly how I feel when I have Rich’s niece for a weekend…I don’t know how people do it with kids…lol!

You do more in one weekend than I do all week! my weekend was much more boring.
I hope your MRI comes back as an all clear!

Let’s get that MRI crossed off your list–for good.
I left a comment after yours over at Derfwad Manor–your guy definitely has Mancake arms!

Now you know why I am tired all the time, LOL
I have that book on my shelf but haven’t read it yet. (My book club read it before I joined them.) I second Jenn’s comment, and *please* let us know the results of your MRI a.s.a.p!!

Yup, kids are exhausting, but when they’re yours and they live with you you don’t feel obligated to pack every conceivable activity into a single afternoon, you do get to pace yourself a bit
.
Good luck today!!!

I think it is very cool that a teenage boy is recommending 3 Cups of Tea. That is one inspiring book about how powerful good ideas, personal relationships and determination can make a big difference. It started off a bit slow but once he got into his time away from the US it sucked me right in.
Good luck with your last MRI!

That sounds like a pretty great (full!) weekend. Our weekends are differently paced, depending on whether Seth’s here or with his dad… kids do make it more hectic! And you’ll have to tell me how you like the book when you’re done… I never got hooked and gave up, probably just as it was about to get interesting!
Hope all is well with the MRI! xo

I realize it’s late, but…. GOOD LUCK!
Hope all is well!

You really know how to “do” weekends! Hope THIS coming weekend is just as entertaining(perhaps not quite so busy?) for you.
Hope the MRI was the last one, afterall?

I loved Three Cups of Tea. I read it last year.

A student recommended Three Cups of Tea to me and I really liked it.
Hope the MRI goes well!

Happy Valentine’s Day to my idea of the greatest FB romance ever. I hope the MRI goes well, my friend. You were right when you mentioned in a comment on my blog that D. is Mancake.

Well, yes, some days are tiring like that, but when they’re yours full time, you kind of get to the point where enough is enough and you don’t feel like entertaining them all the time, so they have to fend for themselves. But, some days I am running, running, running!
