this and that
Today I had a visit at work from the cutest lil elfin girl ![]()

Last night, Dave came over and made stuffed peppers again…my request! I love the way he makes them, although I’m thinking next time, for a lower calorie meal, we’ll (and by we I mean Dave) switch out the bacon for Boca meatless crumbles and maybe add some chopped broccoli to the rice mix. The velveeta topping stays, however.
Later on, we took the dogs for a walk along the river…not knowing it was motorcycle night at the ice cream stand. Wolf did amazingly well with all the noise and just wanted to go in the water

The four of us sat on the stairs there while night fell and the almost full moon rose over the water, talking and watching Wolf watching ducks swim by. It was nice and peaceful, even with the motorcycles!
Then we went to CVS to get some Benedryl for me because the doc put Tegaderm over my port removal incision. Although it was only on for maybe 10 minutes, the damage was done and my skin is itchy and blistered. As we were driving back to my place, we passed an ice cream stand and had to stop…it was just the perfect night for it! I had coffee soft serve with jimmies and Dave had pineapple orange ice cream and shared it with Max & Wolf.

MMmmmm…. coffee soft serve! You sure have some allergy to the Tegaderm to blister. OUCH. That is serious stuff. I do get irritated by some of the medical tape and it does make me itchy, but I can treat it with hydrocortisone and be happy.
And that little girl is adorable!

A day with a baby elfin is a perfect day. And? It was followed by a perfect night, natch.
Hi Dave! (I like you.)

That is one cute baby!
I’m impressed with how you make an allergic reaction sound like just a little blip on the radar of a lovely day–that is an attitude to aspire to.

What a little cutie pie. And now you’ve made me hungry for ice cream. Considering it’s 7:43 a.m., that can’t be good.

When I had my surgery they wrote on every surface they could find that I am allergic to latex. Which, now I’m thinking I’ll have to avoid the Tegaderm in the future.
@Sally906: Jimmies is Massachusetts for sprinkles.

Janet it has been forever since I’ve spent any time hanging with my computer. You are a beautiful writer; I was there with you eating your soft served ice cream with jimmies. I too am allergice to adhesive. I recently put a bandaide on my chin to help an angry zit go away and I had the worst oozing blistering herpes like reaction on my chin. One would think I would remember not to do that but lessons are learned slowly with me. The biggest problem is now it is still there and almost a psoriasis like lesion. I HATE GETTING OLD. I’m so glad you are having good days. I hope life is turning around for you and you have more full moon walks, and soft served ice cream than you can count. Love and miss you Beth
