two for the price of one, plus Max!
Just another Manic Monday!
This week’s:
How has your life been different than you imagined? HAHAHA!!! Oh…HAHAHA!!! Um…HAHAHA!!!
What lessons have you learned from your relationships? OMG well, I’m pretty damn stubborn, so I’m not sure I learned anything.
If you had to move to a city besides the one you currently live in, where would you move? See, I tried that. I thought I’d like living in VA (it was actually a toss up between VA & CA…maybe I should’ve gone with CA?)…earlier spring, warmer, less snow. Didn’t like it! You can take a girl out of New England, but you can’t take New England out of the girl. I think you crave where you were raised.
last week’s:
Are you doing what you really want to do? Since I think I’d really like to be a food photographer, then no. Do I know how to go about it? Not really…and since I’m not very competitive, I’m not sure I would fight to be one. Make sense? Probably not…
What is your biggest fear? How can you conquer that fear? Hmmm…spiders…being alone…being a bag lady (I am that now in a way hahaha!!!)…I dunno. I don’t like to even think of those things.
Have you settled for mediocrity in your life? I don’t think that everyone can have an extraordinary life; in fact, ordinary sounds pretty damn good right now.
And…happy birthday to Max!

Yeah, I’d have to laugh at that first question, too.

I saw a show about Food “stylists”….hmmm…looked very interesting! I would love to dress up food, then you could take the photos!

I don’t miss where I grew up, but I do miss living in Colorado. Though I love (mostly) living in Mass.
Happy bday, puppy!

I like what you said there. I think it is extraordinary to get to be ordinary.

I really like your answers. Especially the idea that ordinary sounds pretty damn good.
Happy Birthday, Max.

It’s not that hard to find the extraordinary in ordinary things.
Happy bday Max! xo

Ordinary isn’t too damn bad! I like my life like it is…Plus I have so many wonderful extraordinary things close to me – like nature…and parks…and hikes…and knowledge – that I guess that makes my life pretty damn good too.

The 2nd one and the 4th on in the top row are my favorites! Happy Birthday Max! The next Milkbone is one me!
I am surprised to hear you say that you “don’t think that everyone can have an extraordinary life” I totally believe that everyone can (and usually it’s me who is the true realist!). I totally see you as having an extraordinary life – living in Japan – kicking cancer’s a$$ – meeting a great guy in the midst of all that – having amazing animals in your life….and so much more!

Ordinary is seriously underestimated, but I think your life has a touch of the extraordinary about it.
Have you thought about pet photography as a sideline? You’ve got a great portfolio to get started and some people will spend a lot of money for something like that.

Ordinary is entirely relative. I think even people who live extraordinary lives don’t always realize it until they’re looking back on things…
I loved your answer to the first questions–a good big belly laugh. I think most of us can relate!
And what a sweet pup Max is. Happy day to him!

happy birthday Max!

I’m glad you can laugh at that first question.
Happy birthday to Max. I ♥ that big picture of him.
And last year there was a red NE-style Saltbox home for sale in our neighborhood. I had always admired it but we are saving up for moving back to our home state next year (assuming we can sell *this* house).

I agree about mediocrity.

Love that center picture of Max. So snuggly!
Well, I guess not many of us have had life turn out as expected, huh? Some less so than others! Maybe that would be boring anyhow, or at least on some counts.
Chicky, you’d be a great food photog! You love both and you’re so good at it.
