pictures to follow, tomorrow
Just another Manic Monday!
What makes you laugh? So many things…babies, getting good news, happiness.
What makes you cry? Being misunderstood. Seeing animals hurt.
What is the best thing about you? Hmmm…that I’m easy to amuse, for the right folks an easy houseguest and um…I dunno…what do you think?
After work today, I stopped by to see my friend Krista’s 6 week old daughter, Madeline! She was sweet and adorable and fought her Mommy a bit about taking a bottle. But she finally did, so that means K can get out of the house for awhile, which is good!
I’ve been feeling a bit blue and weepy lately…any ideas on how to get over that?
Today I got a beautiful card from a blog friend (thanks, Kari!!!) and in it she said: “It is easy to see what a kind and loving person you are.” It’s funny…I don’t feel very kind or loving lately…in fact, I feel pretty sad, so it was really nice to hear those words. She also sent an absolutely fantastic, handmade, warm blanket and a CD filled with Christmas music. What a caring person she is! Thank you so much, Kari!
But that wasn’t the only box awaiting me when I arrived home tonight; another blog friend, Ren, sent me some handmade treats (Guinness truffles, single malt truffles, coffee toffee, bourbon balls and gingerbread caramels), two lovely tapers (which I had been meaning to buy, so perfect!) & another CD with Christmas music…and I ate so many sweets today at work, I can’t even sample what she sent! Ren, thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness!
How was your weekend?

I can imagine that all you’ve been through lately might lead to the blue and weepies. Hopefully it will pass quickly.
Whenever people ponder their luck in getting such thoughtful gifts I feel compelled to remind them, “you reap what you sow!”

Our weekend was full of SNOW! Which in turn makes me happy.
I am sorry that you have been feeling down. You certainly have been running through an emotional roller coaster this year. Be gentle with yourself.
A good friend does indeed inspire others around her and you, my friend, are an inspiration! ♥

I think weepy and sad might go with the territory of 200(freaking)9, wouldn’t you say?
I love that you got to hang out with a sweet baby today and love that you got some treats in the mail. What a nice surprise to come home to…

It’s been a hell of a year for you, I can’t blame you for the weepies! My advice is to be around your friends as much as possible, especially the ones who make you laugh.
The best thing about you is… hard to pick one thing… your sense of humor, your vision, your gentleness, your kindness.

The best thing about you – I mean other than your new boots
is that you always listen – no matter how ridiculous I might be sounding you always listen to me and offer support as if it is the most important thing in the world (and then of course you tell me I am being ridiculous and we laugh over it).

oh and p.s. the “blue and weepy” thing? Time is the best way to get over it – it will pass. Don’t push it too hard, accept that it is here for now, know that it will pass, and pamper yourself in the meantime. You have been through a lot…..

I think it’s all that backed up emotions working its way out… although I imagine you never liked being a weepy one
