Black Friday: A good concept or just another way to lose sleep?
And…here we go!
![]()
1. Wait! Wait, don’t forget to take some of this food before you go.
2. A sip of Ricard followed at once by a sip of ice cold water is delicious.
3. The trouble is even though I like a bargain, I like my sleep much, much more.
4. Paris, where I would love to go in December, is many miles away.
5. With a faint pop the champagne cork flew out, miraculously flying past anything it could potentially damage.
6. I love when the sky looks shadowy and ominous.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to leftovers!, tomorrow my plans include having some people over for a turkey dinner with canned cranberry sauce (the best, LMAO…oh hey, let’s have a poll: canned or homemade?) and Sunday, I want to get ready to go to MGH to say byebye to my stitches!

I have thankfully never given in to this ‘tradition’ and instead do my best to remain home all day on Black Friday. For example, tomorrow we will sleep in and spend the day watching our favorite Christmas films while eating yummy food!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and wish you a pleasant weekend.

canned. always canned. i’ve made the compotes, the fancies, all kinds of cranberry relishes, but nothing compares to the plain old canned, jellied kind. it’s kind of like cake. i can bake, i can make a beautiful cake, but i will always love the texture of a box mix cake.

I like both! The canned is good stuff, and reminds me of childhood T’givings. But my sister in law made a lovely sauce with fresh cranberries and Mandarin oranges- so yummy! Guess from here on out it’ll depend on my mood?
Glad you’re feeling better and are able to get around a little more!

Homemade! *sigh*
What’s Ricard?
Happy don’t go out to the mall day.

Nothing wrong with a canned jelly (in the shape of the can is best, LOL
) but I am partial to my cranberry-orange relish. I cut the sugar down to just 1/2 cup this year and it was perfect!
And I slept in until 8am today.

I’ve never had canned, but my husband grew up on it and he does like my homemade (or at least he says he does . . . hmmm).

I totally agree with you about sleep and shopping. I like my sleep much more, too. Good luck with the stitch removal.

Canned!!!!
and, I think I’ve been shopping on Black Friday once – last year! And, it wasn’t that much fun!

Canned canned cranberry sauce all the way! And as for Block Friday….all I bought was a shower curtain liner.

I love it when the sky looks shadowy and ominous too
Hope your Thanksgiving was joyful and that you’re doing well! I’ll write soon….

Yay for no more stitches and sleeping in!!
I hated cranberries as a kid and I only remember us having canned. As an adult, I love my aunt’s homemade and have yet to try the canned jelly stuff – but I like the sound it makes coming out of the can!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Janet!! I am thankful for you.
