The wonder that is H Mart!
Just another Manic Monday…
How do you define honesty? Truth in speech, intent and action. When you’re truthful, you create an atmosphere of trust. This is harder than it seems. You CAN be both honest and tactful…it takes thought and a kind & caring nature, I think.
What is the main thing that makes you unique? Oh, ho! Better to ask me, “What doesn’t make you unique?”! My outlook, I guess, the way I think; my ex-husband once told me that I was unique…but not in a good way. He was very nice
Oh! Wait, that wasn’t truthful!
What is your biggest fear or worry? Right now? My upcoming operation…I’ve arranged for someone to stay here with the dogs while I’m in the hospital and that helps to set my mind at ease. But…I’m a bit afraid of the pain, of the aftermath, how much it will change my life…and occasionally, I worry a bit about whether they can get it all. It’s not in the forefront of my mind…but I’d be less than honest if I didn’t admit I have thought of it once or twice…maybe even three times.
Can you believe all that snow yesterday? For any of you watching the football game, all that snow and not a bit stuck, at least not for long. I enjoyed sitting on my couch in my jammies watching it fall though.
Oh, and over the weekend, I discovered that H Mart is open! Oh, HALLELUJAH!!! It was crowded beyond belief, but we parked a ways away and walked over. I got the loverly pumpkin in the picture below, some kimchi, rice balls with bean paste, chinese pork & mushroom dumplings, roasted sliced sweet potato snack, S&B Golden Curry, dried shiitake mushrooms, Maruchan’s fresh yakisoba, and a pumpkin and a chestnut mochi treat for Megan & me. WOOHOO! I now have a place to go to get my Japanese fix.
How was your weekend?

I know!!! I should have told you but I just assumed your sensors would pick up on it. I’m waiting for Alasdair to come back form the UK so i can take him there on his next foodie field trip. I’m hoping to stealthly sneak in on a Friday morning.
Thinking of you and your upcoming surgery and hoping that everything goes smoothly and comfortably. You’ll return home to loads of puppy love!

I’m impressed that you can “worry a bit.” I love when people can do that–I aspire to become that type of person someday.
Pumpkin juice? I’m skeptical–is it really good?!

I can send you a dog pic every day that you’re away! I have a nifty new phone.
I should test that out. *makes a plan*
How was the juice?

What’s H mart?
I’m thinking of you from afar

I agree with you on the honesty quest. In the long run, it’s so much easier that way.
Hey, it’s OK to be scared or worried. That’s a natural part of it all. But the important thing is that you still have your zip, zap, zing! Joie de vivre, but of course.
I love your tea pot and the autumn setting. Gorgeous shot!

The pumpkin juice looks yummy, but …. I’m not brave enough to take the first sip!
You are in my prayers.
