13 things I did today

Yesterday, I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, feeling alone and whatnot, so today I decided to get off my @$$ and seize the day!
1. I jumped out of bed this morning at 730 and took a shower.
2. Made some oatmeal (stirred in some pumpkin I roasted earlier in the week!) and coffee. Unfortunately, some of the milk/water mixture boiled over onto the top of the electric stove…directions say to scrub gently and if that doesn’t work, to wet a paper towel with ammonia and let it cover the baked on stuff for 30-40 minutes. And if that doesn’t work? Any suggestions? Man, I miss my gas stove!
3. Walked & fed the dogs, gave Wolf his pills (mixed with the roasted pumpkin, which he loves).
4. Headed to the store to pick up some stuff that’d been on my to do list.
5. Stopped by the farmstand for some Macouns (addicted!!!) and got some cider donuts (bad bad bad), had those with some apple cider.
6. Came home, put everything away.
7. Got a text from K asking if I wanted to catch a movie tomorrow at noon…she wants to see Paranormal Activity…I think she wants to go into early labor! She added on lunch at LifeAlive and woohoo! Probably a good thing we’re going after the movie than before, I heard it’s pretty freakin’ scary.
8. Put on meat sauce to simmer.
9. Checked my email and saw that the latest copy of the Dexter books that I requested was in at the library! Off I went, along with Wolf, since the smoke detector in the condo below was going off and he was flipping out (called the maintenance folks, it was off when I got home) and picked up the book.
10. Stopped at Panera for a asiago cheese bagel with reduced fat veggie cream cheese for a late lunch.
11. Walked along the boulevard with Wolf. It was FREEZING!!! Feels like snow…sorry to say.
12. Had a nice conversation on the cell w/Cheri while walking Wolf and freezing.
13. Now I’m having asiago chicken sausage & penne…good day!

sounds like you had a good one, and you were in the mood for asiago cheese. I’ve never tried pumpkin in oatmeal. do you just mash it in?

Cheri spoke to Janet wearing flip-flops, shorts, and a cute tie-dye tank top. Heh. Cheri doesn’t know why she’s using third person in this comment. Cheri is going away now.

That sounds like a wonderful day! I am sorry you were having a blah day yesterday… I know how those go, and getting up and at it can sometimes help turn it around! Sounds like you did a good job of that.

Electric stoves are so hard to get used to when you’re used to gas, I grew up with gas but where I live, there is no natural gas pipeline close enough so it’s electric or propane & I have electric, burning stuff off through use, unfortunately seems to be the only way to clean many things off the electric burners.
That Paranormal State movie looks good, I don’t think any theater is showing it around here though.
Hope your week improves further from yesterday.

The season sure has taken a turn. Even saw a few flakes of the S word yesterday. C’mon mother nature, it’s not even Halloween yet.
Happy T13!

I agree about electric, it’s what I have now.
But I think you generally do get used to it.
I love the graphic
Did you have a nice weekend?!

Did you go see the movie? What did you think? The older boys saw it last night with their wives and apparently it scared them all!

I will sit here quietly far, far from scary movies. But I hope you enjoyed it!
