Since Tink gave up the ghost on her blog, I decided to participate in Random Tuesday which I found over at Erin’s blog: only a movie. Random is right up my alley! If you’d like to participate, the link up is here.

I really wanted to do this because I love the button LMAO!
Owww, I just banged my head on the headboard of my bed. No, not for a good reason
Oooh look I figured out how to do bullets!
Yes, I’m up at 3:44 AM. Why? Who knows…itchy nether parts might have something to do with it…nasty radiation burns.
Had a great evening with my friend Pat – went to dinner at a Mexican place in Nashua, then bought a new king size quilt for $49.99 at the JC Penney Homegoods store.
Sunday I went to church and there were no lightning strikes in the vicinity. I went because my brother and I had contributed some money towards new hymnals & bibles for the church in our parents’ memory (it was the church they had attended since 1960) and those books were being dedicated that day. I took a picture of my friend, Maureen, in the church, showing off one of the brand new hymnals:

Hope that isn’t a faux paux!
I found out something today…and if you’re lucky (Mrs. G.) I might be able to get a picture of it…
Hmmm…I’m kind of hungry…is it ok to eat at 4:01AM? Maybe some cottage cheese? Will I have to brush my teeth afterward? Hmmm…
Speaking of hungry, last week I posted about twirly dogs and many of you asked, “What the heck is a twirly dog?” With luck, my friend Azzy, who lives in VA close to where they are sold, will be taking a picture of one soon and I will show you right here on my blog the goodness that is a twirly dog. You know you have a good friend when you email someone and say: “lol can you do me a favor? Can you go to Smitty’s and order a twirly dog and take a picture of it? Sometime? Please!” to which she replies: “tell my husband that we may have to take a field trip so i can take a pic of a hotdog and then have him eat it? that may be a tough sell… oh wait, we are talking about my hubby and he loves hotdogs! of course. will try to do next week” mmm, can’t wait!
Klimt – who likes him? Now that I think of it (clearly at oh dark thirty) I think it’s Jenn…if so, there’s a perfect poppet for you
Wolf just gave me a look that basically said: “What the heck are you doing up and awake? You’re crazy!”
Had the best eggs benedict Sunday…they weren’t called benedict since they were on bacon on english muffins and not ham…but I can’t remember the exact name. Don’t they look good?

Perfectly poached and quite delicious…but I only ate one english muffin, 2 pieces of bacon and no home fries while devouring all three eggs. I’m bad. Oh, and I ate the watermelon, too…nice touch!
Stopped at Lyndell’s Bakery on the way home from MGH today…only to find out it was closed on Mondays…sigh…I so wanted a fig cookie!
Ok, I’m done…hopefully I’ll be able to get some sleep now. If not, it’s off to the kitchen for some cottage cheese or maybe some Fage yogurt w/honey…g’nite!

Sorry you were having trouble sleeping. I hope you got back to sleep at some point. Or got the yogurt!
Have a good day & love you!

The Worship and Rejoice book looks great! I did something similar for my Dad, bought special Anthems for the whole choir in Dad’s name.
I can’t wait to see Twirly Dogs!
Love you, Mel

Your man is beautiful in his man sarong. OMG. I will be happy all day just thinking about it.
I’m sorry you had trouble sleeping. Was it really your butt or was Lafayette hogging the blankies?

Twirly dogs are hotdogs?? Okay, where can I find one, it sounds like they might be local!
I’m pretty sure you don’t get struck by lightning for gifting hymnals in your parents’ names, esp. when it is something they would have approved of.
I slept like a log all night… might have been the benedryl I took at bedtime — otherwise my mosquito bites would have kept me awake.
Your breakfast looks incredible!

Sorry you had a tough sleep. Love that you said o-dark-thirty, a favorite saying in our house.
And ohmygoodness that poppet is too sweet for words.

That poppet has my name all over it.
You left those home fries?! I am a potato person–incapable of leaving the home fries on the plate?
I hope tonight the nether regions are not itchy and the sleep is deep and long.

I like random! Sorry you had trouble sleeping!
I ordered a new poppet.
My addiction is growing…thanks by the way! LOL

wooo, are you sure that picture didn’t keep you up?
Fabulous new hymnals, and totally scrumptious looking food!

Random is so much fun!
That breakfast looks just yummeriffic. Much better than the couple of times I’ve ever had Eggs Benedict!

Getting the hymnals was a very nice rememberance of your mom and dad … nice thing to do.
Hmmm…somebody looks really cool in that sarong…how come i never noticed him before you got me looking at him???
Is there anything they can give you for the radiation burn???

I like the chipped breakfast plate. To many that might be a sign of clumsy waitstaff but I see it as a sign of great service – they are so eager to feed me that they just can’t clear those tables fast enough ;0) That breakfast looked delicious. My favorite meal to go out to eat. Have you ever been to the 50’s Diner in Dedham? Speedy and delicious, with great atmosphere.

Apparently you not only got up at 3:44am, but you also had 10 cups of coffee!

Cracking up about the lightning strikes. The last time we got all of my family together in church there was a tornado!

August 22nd, 2009 at 9:42 am

Just to have a wonderful meal, like posted here, and a great time together;-))
Or, you can come to Oslo next August

The graphic is very cute. Next idea for the gift to the church
