Manic Monday by Lisa
Just another Manic Monday…
Describe to me your favorite lounging clothes. The beautiful paisley silk lounging pajamas, the autumn-colored ones with the matching silk mules. NOT! When it’s warm: an old t-shirt & shorts; when it’s cold: flannel jammies.
If you promised to never lie again in your lifetime, in what area would it be hardest to uphold the promise? *snort* ALL of them! Go ahead, Megan, you know you want to!
Give a one word answer to the question “why is life worth living”. Well, macaroni & cheese, of course! Oh no, wait, it’s the Starbucks lowfat turkey bacon english muffin and tall caffe latte. Or no, wait, it’s bleu cheese & honey on sourdough. Hmmm…perhaps the CORRECT answer would be “food”.
Yesterday was my Grandmother’s 18th birthday…99 years ago:
It was also Max’s 12th birthday, and he got to sleep in the bed with me last night, it was the best present he could get!
How was your weekend?

I started reading the first answer and thought, wha???

Happy birthday Max!

Yes, food is a great answers. I love food
I inherited my mother’s diaries and I started to read them but I had to stop, they remind me too much of how missed her. Maybe they are best left for future generations to read.

Saturday was spent enjoying the glorious 85 degree weather. Sunday was spent dying in the 96 degree weather. Oh yeah, water polo and homework too. Food. Mmmm!

You had me going with the fancy loungewear… too funny! I played too. Check out my answers, HERE!

You had me going there with your fancy lounge wear….I was getting worried. I was about to offer to come over with a bottle of brandy and a cartoon of chicken soup, thinking you must be coming down with something. Sigh.
How amazing that you have your grandmother’s dairy!! I have my grandmother’s too, one from each year for 65 years. I have only read a few of them, but the one in which she writes of her 19 year old brother getting killed in the 1st World War is heartbreaking. I feel very privileged to have them but some are very sad to read. Some, of course, are full of excitement and pride and happy family events.

Love your grandmother’s journal. And I can’t believe I didn’t say “food” as the ultimate answer.
April 20th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
Yep – FOOD!
April 20th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
I do love good food! It is the reason I started learning to cook many moons ago.
I was totally picturing you in those lounging pants.

1. A T-shirt, lounge pants (how fitting), and slippers
The other two questions are too hard for me to answer.
My weekend was good. I hung out with my best friend on Friday night and competed in a trivia contest on Saturday and Sunday.

LOL your answer to the first one is funny.
Happy Birthday Max!!
My weekend was good, I spent a lot of time just doing what Heather wanted instead of trying to cater to others.
Which meant I played a lot of wii tetris!!!!

I would have to agree with you on the answer to question no. 3–”food”!! LOL!
I find it so interesting you have in your possession a diary from your grandmother.
