seven magical things
It’s the 2008 Holiday Project at Cafe Writing; I’ve chosen to participate in : Option One: Seven Things: “Give me seven magical things in your world. Interpret “magical” any way you please. ”

1. Ice crystals. It means it’s VERY cold outside, but there’s something so beautiful about them, I don’t care!
2. Intuition: I have it, and try to use it as often as I can. Often, I’m right, but I’m not infallible.
3. Cooking: It’s so much fun to take a bunch of ingredients, mix ‘em all up and end up with something delicious. Oftentimes, this is where intuition comes in…cookbooks are one of my favorite things to read. Never know what you might find! In fact…I found this today:

Thought it was intriguing!
4. Christmas lights. Any home looks better with candles in the window and a beautiful tree strung with whatever color lights you prefer off in the corner. I love driving around at night just looking…fancy, simple, doesn’t matter…it’s all gorgeous!

5. Wolf’s face when he sees it’s snowed outside. He’s a dog MADE for snow and boy does he LOVE it!!!
6. Books and movies. Need a short break from reality? See a movie! Need a longer break? Read a book.
7. Friends. Friends are the most magical creatures of all. Some friends I talk to often; some friends I’ve never met and have never spoken to, but IM with often; some friends I haven’t talked to in a long time but when next we do speak, we’ll pick up like no time at all has passed. Friends keep me going, make me happy, make life sweet.

Came back to see your cousin’s link and you have a new post!
I was trying to remember when I first came across your blog. I am sure I was intrigued by your mad photog skills…then I just stuck around.
Like the ice crystal shot…simple and beautiful….many people would just walk on by. But you stopped..pulled out a camera, and froze a moment in time. A beautiful moment!
the recipe….I would so do that..find something that looked good, save it, and try it….just because. Did you make the fleur de Lily?

Heehee, wolf in the snow!
) If I don’t feel up tot he challenge, then I read a bit of a library book.
I love Christmas lights, we often take our boys driving to look at them all.
Intuition is an important thing to have, and even more important to listen to.
I take short breaks just before bed by doing Sudoku puzzles

I love the magic of so many things. That shot of Wolf is great, what a nice splash of color from his Christmas leash!

I love those ice crystals. What a good eye to catch that!
There’s something about that cookbook that I love–everything from the font to the picture. And the name, of course.
I love the expression on Wolf’s face. Gatsby loves snow but hates rain. Go figure.

What better way to celebrate the season than to list all the magic in the world? Thanks for that.

My dogs are the complete opposite of yours. They’re such big wussies, they won’t go out if it’s WET outside. Since we live in Florida, that’s like 75% of the time. I have to literally shove them out the door to the backyard. Amazing shot of the ice crystals!

I just love all of these. You are so right that each are filled with magic. I’m just loving that shot of Wolf in the snow. Absolutely too cute. I love the ice crystals, too.
