Lisa’s Manic Monday
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an air-o-plane
I still couldn’t make it on time
Just another Manic Monday…
What is the most expensive meal you’ve ever eaten? Hmmm…making me think, Lisa! I really don’t know! There was Nobu in NYC…but I’m not sure that was the most expensive. Possibly someplace in Japan or Paris…best meal, now that’s more memorable, to me
Ever go to Artisanal in NYC? OMG…what great food! Todd English’s Tuscany, too, was spectacular. And the Four Seasons in Boson…oh, that’s it! It was the Four Seasons in Tokyo…delicious, but wow!
What is the fastest speed you’ve ever traveled in a car? Over 100, I’m sad to say…back in the day when there were less cars on the road, so that’s one good thing. Oh, and that no one got hurt. That’s a VERY good thing!
What is the highest building you’ve ever been to the top floor of? Hmmm…good question! That would be Tokyo Tower; at 1,092 feet, it’s the 17th highest building in the world.

That’s my tree this year, short and sweet and a little tilted…like me!
One of the most peaceful things I did this weekend was stop at Border’s. I just went in to browse after going to LL Bean to get a silk underwear top to keep me warm against the wicked New England cold, which I’m feeling a lot more now that I’ve lost weight. Anyway, I went into Borders and saw the latest Stephen King book, a collection of short stories called “Just After Sunset“. I picked it up, went over and ordered a fat free, sugar free peppermint latte and curled up on a nice leather chair to read. Got through the first story, which had a wicked twist and finished the latte at the same time. It was mostly quiet and very peaceful and a much needed break. I think I’ll read the rest of that book this way…short intervals of Stephen King, something to look forward to
How was your weekend?

I had a steak once in Vegas at Prime, $50 each. But darn it was good!

What a lovely way to spend some time. I could use an afternoon like that.
And isn’t that the bitch about being thinner — you are fucking cold most the time. Summer is the worst for me; it’s 100 degrees outside and 60 inside. I’m never comfortable!

Ah, sounds heavenly, a nice quiet read.

Love the tree
You’re much braver than I am, I’d never be able to go that high in any building…elevators make me motion sick, and tall buildings intensify that feeling

your tree is adorable!

There are plans underway to open a Nobu condo/hotel in Israel in a few years. I can’t wait to try the restaurant!

I wanna’ go to the Four Seasons!
I think I need to get some of that silk underwear too. I am freezing my a$$ off! Your visit to Borders sounds perfectly wonderful. I haven’t read a ‘good’ book in a while. Guess I need to go browsing!

The small tree is a great idea and I love the colors! I need to put up a small tree this year…if I ever get into the Christmas spirit.

It’s a Hanukkah bush (ok, it’s just the right colors)! It’s a pretty tree. I like small ones the best too.

Love the tree – I really just want a small one this year. By the way my secret keeping is only because I am going to be red with embarassment over how poorly I do on the test. Standardized tests are horrible, terrible, no good I say!

Ha! sweet and tilted …
We got our tree up too. Had a fine weekend. Although now I am hungry after reading about the restaurants.

I’m glad you had a nice moment this weekend. You needed it

Love your tree! I went a bit smaller this year, too.

I saw Milk this weekend–an excellent movie, I highly recommend it. Sean Penn definitely deserves an Oscar. I got my house decorated too–it’s an all day process, but nice to have finished.

A Stephen King book that I don’t own? There is something very wrong with my life. I must attend to that immediately….
I love your tree!
