tattoos and an almost full moon
Had some fun at the tattoo shop last night…unexpected fun is the best kind, right? I went up to get this done:
As one of my flickr contacts, geekgirlunveiled, said: “I would imagine that’s a problematic place for a tattoo due to the epithelial shedding. He must have to go quite deep. Ouch!” Yup! It hurt a bit more than it did last time, so maybe she’s right.
And as things turned out, I ended up getting this older tat:
redone:
I wasn’t happy with the original text, and voila! It’s gone!
I even was able to work a Project 365 shot into the mix:
I was amused and distracted by quite a few off-color stories, but I’m not sharing…
What did you do last night?

Tom “thanked” me last night for the nice post I wrote about him.
I can’t see what your finger says without my glasses.

Poor finger!
I definitely like John’s rework of MM.
I need to start saving up for my next one. I can’t decide if I want ivy around my left arm (with no words this time) or more words around my ankle. But definitely green and leafy because I think it’s very pretty and get lots of compliments on it.

Holy crap, that is quite possibly one of the best cover-ups I’ve seen! I’m even more impressed now- hot artist AND able to make lettering disappear like that???! WANTZ!

You’re making Costco and Home Depot sound pretty boring.

No tats to be found here. Hmm, I had no idea you could redo a tatoo. I thought the previous ink would show through. Looks good – hopefully not too sore!

Wow, I had to look very closely to see the cover up. Excellent job! I like the new look a lot.

Very impressed with the cover up and new lettering!! I am so chicken, I don’t think I could ever get a tat.
The kids were worn out from the heat outside that they were in bed early. So I finised unpacking the rest of the dining room! Loads of fun I tell ya.

I did not get a tattoo! Love the way you got the guy to pose with… now I forget their name. I like the re-do better too. And the placement of “so serious” is impeccable.
I packed and picked corn and tomatoes.

He’s a cutie. He doesn’t seem as scary as some of the guys I’ve seen. Good for you for updating your tattoos!
You do inspire!

Great job on the cover up! Me likey.
But I’m frankly shocked that the finger tattoo already needed a touch up. On the other hand, you probably won’t mind going back to the shop every couple of weeks to get it redone, right?

Nothing as exciting as getting a tattoo with a cute artist. I like the reworked one.
We watched the Red Sox. On tv. And some Olympics.

Wow, looks like you had a much more interesting night than I did. I like the redo too.
