Ant hill!
Cheri was the first to get it: “Ant hole.“, closely followed by Mrs. G.: “Ant hill?” and Robin: “Anthill? Dang these are getting hard…” and finally Reb: “My first thought is ant hill, but then it looks like damp sand, so maybe the air hole for mussels?”
Tommie totally skeeved me out: “Looks like a burrow in the sand for some kind of creature…it reminds me of the spider (tarantula) holes in the woods behind my mom’s house.”
