What Is It Wednesday (#109)
Here’s last Wednesday’s picture:

And this is what it was cropped from:
!!!UPDATED!!!: Ok, waaaaaaaay too complicated. Comment away with what you think it is, I’ll moderate the comments, MUCH easier that way!
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU COMMENT:
This week, I’m thinking of doing things a bit differently, thanks to Jenn, who said: “Is there a way to set it up so we don’t see anyone else’s comment until the big reveal? I always feel like I’m cheating when I see the other answers. Of course, I am totally neurotic.
So while I’m not going to close the comments, I would love it if you’d email me your answers [fondofsnapeATgmailDOTcom] (you know AT = @ and DOT = . right?) instead of saying what you think this week’s photo is in the comments. This way you can still leave a comment if you wish, telling me what you think of this idea, telling me to go to hedoublehockeysticks, etc., etc.
Ok, let’s move on!
Tommie was the first to get it right: “a broken edge of a sand dollar“. She was quickly followed by:
Mrs. G., “That, my friend, is a sand dollar. Right?“.
YellowRose, “I’m going with the broken sand dollar.“.
These three cracked me up:
DebR: “It looks like some sort of jaggedy-edge bone. Did you get pissed off and break someone’s skull??? (If you did, they probably deserved it)”
Lisa: “Freaking A, woman. How in the hell am I supposed to be able to tell anything from that? A broken matzo cracker?”
Saucy: “That, my friend, is surely the wiggly bits of a very old person.”

Since my wacko answer will mean nothing to no one, I’ll post in comments (I’m too lazy to switch to email, sad, isn’t it?). It’s a food item, and that’s as far as I’ll go.

Or . . . mouse turds.

I think it’s food, maybe fish with wild rice?
April 30th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
a poppy-seed bagel? A gourmet potato-chip? (Or, as we call them in our household, paka-choos)
April 30th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
I see poppy seeds & sesame seeds – not sure but I think it’s the edge of an everything bagel- the texture at the base is wrong though- maybe the bagel has cream cheese on it already?

I see black beans, butter and corn. Perhaps someone dropped a black bean and corn relish on the counter?

I’m thinking egg custard with nutmeg. But then again, maybe I’m just hungry.
