Thirteen Things on My Mind
1. I kind of missed doing the Thursday 13; this one is #111…that’s a LOT of T13s!
2. I had the weirdest dream last night about this guy Jimmy I was friends with when I lived in Aurora, CO…wonder how he is?
3. I’m reading Barbara Kingsolver’s “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life”; you should read it too! It explains a lot, from huge portions at American restaurants to the obesity of kids in America.
4. Is it just me, or has the internet slowed down these last few days?
5. I’ve started wearing necklaces again, they don’t seem to bother me as much as they used to…it used to give me a choking feeling!
6. Do you think jewelry made in China is safe?
7. 2010 is so far away; I’m eagerly anticipating The Hobbit!!!
8. I have the hiccups.
9. Aveda The is my very favorite tea ever.

11. Thinking of going to Disney this summer, also to Vermont with the girls. Maybe Vegas in December. Maybe to an island off the FL Keys. Maybe…
12. Have any of you tried Mrs. Meyers Laundry Detergent? If so, what do you think of it?
13. When will the forsythia bloom already??!

I can’t make any plans for anything until I know if Greta is knocked up or not. I’m thinking yes as she is very tired and her belly feels soft to me. Can we think June 1st puppies???

I don’t think the internet is any slower, I just the world is speeding up. I find I can’t type as well as I used to because my fingers can no longer keep up with my thots.

I’m not sure anything from China is safe. Then again, I’m not sure it’s just China – lots of other countries don’t have the rules that we do.

Barbara Kingsolver is possibly my favorite author. I haven’t read the book yet, but I did listen to her Fresh Air interview on the book and it was wonderful.

4. Slowed as in the speed of pages loading? Or slowed as in new content? Because judging by my feed reader, I would guess you meant the former & not the latter.
11. I promise you it will be warm in the Summer! LOL! And if it’s not, we will all love you for bringing some cool relief. It will rain in the afternoon though.

I am going to pick up the Kingsolver book…thanks for the heads up about it I am pretty excitied to read it…if so inclined check out Margeret Visser’s book “Rituals of Dinner” it sounds similar?

I’m on #29! You are the second person who commented on the internet being slow. I agree…all this week. Are they out in their gardens…are their bosses looking over their shoulders?
Barbara Kingsolver came to Floyd. She spoke at the school auditorium about that very book. I remember a very funny part she told about their turkey falling in love with her husband.
