Thursday night I went for my first ever acupuncture appointment. It was interesting!
On my way in, as I walked past a bush in front of the house, a VERY large, very fluffy Himalayan cat jumped out at me and just started talking (or as we humans say, meowing). Meow, meow, meow, he said! I said, “What’s a beautiful cat like you doing on a VERY busy street?” He (or she) just meowed. And started to follow me. Which made me freak out because…did I say how busy the street was? It was BUSY!!!
—–end of timed writing—–
I cannot BELIEVE it took me all of three minutes to write the above, but oh well!. As I’m sure you want to hear what happened, I’ll continue it
Anyway, so I walked down a side street, my new friend by my side (literally), still talking a mile a minute. I found a woman doing some yard work and asked her if she knew who the cat belonged to. She said she didn’t but that she’d seen the cat around the neighborhood the last few days. Eek!
I’m thinking that Wolfie is going to be one very happy dog when he sees the live chew toy I’ve brought home for him, at this point.
Then the woman volunteers to take the cat inside and try to find the owners. As I was VERY nervous about cat’s chances of staying alive on that street, I thank her. She picks the cat up and puts him behind her fence and I walk back up to the very busy street to meet my acupuncturist.
Voila! End of story!

Rum and acupuncture – makes me think of Captain Barbossa drinking and leaking at the same time.

The cat was very attached to you! Hopefully he is somewhere safe now.
