Sign Around Town

Laura, over at VitaminSea has come up with a new photography challenge, and I’m so there. In future, it will be posted the last Saturday of each month…and the challenge is to take pictures of signs around your town. Since I live in the “historic area” of my town and since it’s snowing…I just went out front and shot this:

Needs a bit of cleaning, doesn’t it! Maybe once it stops snowing…

   That is a wonderful sign! Who was Martha Baldwin? Was she important to your town?

   Mine is up, too….! This is such a fun Meme, isn’t it?

   This is a great shot. The snow really sets it off and makes it special. Who is Martha Baldwin? I can’t place that name but I am not the best with history either!

   gee i thought it was like a sign sorta like a tombstone or something you know like martha b. died in 1813 or maybe was born then. pretty cool and i like the result of the slush about to slide off the top and the snow coming down. i also very much like the little curlique below martha’s name. so, give it up, what is/was martha baldwin?

    I love signs like this. Did you freeze on your photo walk? It was like 63 here today. SO weird.
