So it is written…
I saw this at chaucerian girl’s blog, and as I left my name for her, I MUST participate. I MUST! So it is written. Here goes:
Leave your name in my blog comments. Once you do that, this is what I’ll do for you…
1. I’ll respond with something random about you.
2. I’ll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I’ll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle you in.
4. I’ll say something that only makes sense to you and me. (if possible!)
5. I’ll tell you my first memory of you.
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always wondered about you.
8. If you do this you MUST post this on yours. You MUST. It is written.
Also be sure to come BACK and check out what I wrote in response for you!
And here’s a picture for you of a yummy piece of coconut cake one of the women at work brought in yesterday…she’s trying to sabotage the weigh in (4…count ‘em…FOUR sticks of butter in the frosting alone!) but that’s ok…I only had one bite … delish!

7. What did you love most about Aunt Tilly?
February 5th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
There were many things I loved about Aunt Tilly, most of all I loved her fabulous spirit. I loved that she ate things like coffee yogurt and eclairs. I loved that she made cookies for my children. I loved her clothes and especially her Hats. I loved that she was my Godmother and I thought of her as a sort of Fairy Godmother because she was very special and wore pretty fancy stuff.
I loved that she was always happy to see me and when she lived on the cape my Grandmother, mother and I would all go grocery shopping together and we’d meet up in different aisles and she was happily buying just what she wanted to eat.
I loved how she played the piano and sang with that high voice of hers, not the greatest playing or singing but with true happiness and enjoyment.
She was a special person who was wonderfully different which was great and she loved her family most of all.

Re #4. It’s true. Well, almost in a doppelganger kind of way.
February 5th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Too funny! I am LDS, but it’s hard to say how much it affects my daily life. I am pretty inactive right now, in that I don’t go to church hardly at all. I do have a very strong faith, but I also have a lot of questions and issues that I am dealing with. I follow the word of wisdom (no alcohol, coffee, tea, or tobacco–most of the time), can quote scriptures up one side and down the other, believe in what I’ve been taught. I see my failings and know that I could be a lot better person, but at the same time, I know people who are “better” and seem to know it all over the place. I’d rather be one of those people who is truly good, from the inside out, and doesn’t judge anyone.
It’s honestly really difficult for me to talk about my faith. Its something that is such a deep part of me that I don’t know who or what I’d be without it. And honestly I think 90% of the reason I don’t go to church right now is because the ward we live in has some people who have been really unkind in their judgments of me and my husband, and a lot of gossping has taken place. Once we are finally able to move out of this area, I think it’s very likely that we’d start going again. And that’s only a few people, but they’re people who freeze us out when we do try to go to church. Like Saturday for President Hinckley’s funeral–I stayed home and watched it on the internet, and Joe went to church for it. He came home very unhappy about the way he was treated by someone that used to be friendish with us. I figure that God didn’t put us on this earth to judge each other; he put us here to love each other. And I know that it’s just a few people who are doing that–probably 80% of the ward doesn’t even know s, and the other 28% are truly kind, good-hearted people. And I keep telling myself that I should be big enough/strong enough to just go, and not care what anyone thinks. And I don’t care what anyone thinks, but I care a lot when they snub my husband or freeze him out or look at him like he’s a pile of dog shit that they just stepped in. That infuriates me no end.
I could talk forever about it now that I’ve started, but I’ll not hog any more of your comment space.
I’m glad to know you!!!!!!!!!
February 6th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
Bear?! I know you’re tired from all of this thinking about other people… but bear — please tell me.
How did I end up here? I’m not sure where I am… do you know where I”m at?
By the way… speaking of spooky… did you happen to see my post last week about the house across the street from me, and all the suicides that happened there? And I looked in the car when I was six? True Story.
I’m on this tomorrow. I love this.
