What Is It Wednesday #77
Here’s last Wednesday’s picture:

And this is what it was cropped from:
This is the other side of the statue:

It’s a statue remembering the victims of the Irish potato famine. Apparently there are a couple of these statues around, one in Boston proper and this one in Cambridge. Hmmm…
Anyway, there were some funny and creative guesses last week!!!
- Carl: “Looks like that hand of some ghost pervert, reaching out to goose some poor unsuspecting lady waiting for the subway.” Kinda!!!
- SwordGirl: “It looked like an asteroid at first being viewed in a movie theater with the red movie lights below.” Can’t get more creative than that! Did any of you see that? I did, after she pointed it out LOL!

First thought was a quilt pattern or something like that. Then I saw the first answer and kmew immediately that I’m wrong again. *sigh*

My first thought was an OREO, too. Then another thought crept in – a cast iron waffle plate. Hmmm, which to choose?

A knock off brand of Oreos?

It’s an attempt at a crop circle, only it was created in a muddy field with no actual crops growing there (so they had to build up the mud into ridges instead of cutting down hay) and it was created by a very girly bunch of aliens, which is why it’s so flowery. (Sheesh, it’s SO obvious!)

I thought it was a brown coin of some sort or a wood carving – but then I peeked at the comments, and I think the cookie is right!

a cookie! one I’m about to eat if you don’t before too long.

It’s the design off a Dutch spice biscuit.
Back to last week – my ancestors fled Ireland at the time of the potato famine. I never knew there were statues commemorating that time.

Wow, I love Oreos!! My Mom used to buy me a package to hide in my room so my brother and sister wouldn’t get them. They found them anyway.
I thought at first that it was some stone work on a building or some design on a family bible.

A manhole cover.

Looks like an iron to steak and create patterns on a kind of dry cakes – in local language it looks like a “Goro Jern” but the patterns are different.
If not, it’s a crazy table tennis racket.

I am not sure it is an Oreo bc Oreos say Oreo on them…don’t they. So it might be a cookie….but I am guessing a waffle iron

or a pizelle maker
September 26th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Another easy underhand pitch……100% confident of this being an Oreo cookie!!………..:-)

An oreo cookie! Come on, make it hard! LOL

I think I’m going to guess that it is a pizzelle maker. The inside that makes the design…

*staggers in for a small visit*
…a cookie? perhaps an Oreo, but…
*goes off to collapse on the nearest handy divan*

I’m a bit late getting here this week, but it looks like the pattern on a chocolate sandwich cookie to me. Either that or I’m just really hungry for Oreos right now.

I think it’s the top of a chocolate sandwich type cooke too!
