I wanted to share this picture with you…I submitted it for Kizz’s photography challenge:

I saw this idea on Pinterest last year and thought it would be a fun thing for Dave and me to do. We started in August…I thought it was be nice to look back and see what we did in the summer when the winter was upon us. After shooting this picture Friday morning, I texted Dave and asked him if we could do this again, beginning this Memorial Day weekend and going through to Labor Day. He agreed! Woohoo!

And…here we go!

1. These three words describe my significant other: caring, artistic, interesting!
2. A sunny day filled with opportunity is a delight!
3. Oh, how I adore a long weekend!.
4. It’s amazing how much nicer life can be if one takes time to be friendly.
5. Inevitably, the lobster and steamers will be finished.
6. My father is someone who never ceased to encourage me.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to the start of the long weekend, Dave’s grilled chicken, a walk along the boulevard and finally, enjoying the blueberry beer Dave brought home for me from one of his co-workers, tomorrow my plans include going to see my cousin, walking to the craft fair and having a hot dog & an ice cream with her and Sunday, I want to take a ride to the Cape with Dave (we’ll see what happens…he’s more inclined to visit the mountains!

What are you up to this weekend?

Back in February (the 9th, to be exact) I did a list of 13 things in my house. I said the second 13 would be up the following week…hmmm…eight weeks later, here it is!

13 things I have in my home, continuing with the letter N:

N – Napkins, cloth & paper. Usually the paper ones have flip flops on them, or crabs…I don’t usually buy (or use) napkins anymore.
O – Oatmeal! Steel cut oats are my favorite, but I’m not above a bowl of quick oats…although lately I’m really digging overnight oats!
P – People, usually just two, sometimes more
Q – Quinoa, my few go-to grain, I love the little teeny curls!
R – Recipes, many, many recipes, in books, on pieces of paper, stuffed into folders. What’s your latest favorite recipe?
S – shiba inu, of course! A live one and lots of pictures of them, and stuffed animals, and felted ones, even a Christmas ornament or two
T – Toilet! What home would be complete without one in this day and age? Hmmm…I had a dream last night about an old friend…went to visit him in CA and he didn’t like toilets, so he had come up with a new idea, and all you had to do was sit on a screen like wooden thing and there was something underneath you that cleaned it all up. Weird, eh?
U – Underwear, lots and lots and lots. I might have a problem LOL!
V – Vittles. Although the freezer is looking mightly empty lately, but I kind of like that!
W – Wishes. Wishes for love, for happiness, for peace (sometimes for quiet), for abundance of good, and a lack of sorrow.
X – Xylitol, which is a toothpaste ingredient that clinical studies show aids in preventing cavities and gingivitis. Hey, I’m all for that!
Y – Yachts! No, no there are no yachts in my house, or near my house, for that matter. There are lots of yams! Have you roasted a yam, tossed with a bit of olive oil, salt & pepper? OH YUM!!!
Z – Zippers, and all of them work!!!
