Recently, Dave and I joined a gym. I should say, Dave joined and I finally WENT to the gym I’ve belonged to for quite awhile. We had our first training session last night and did pretty well for a couple of old farts (Dave’s words, not mine). He likes the bike, I like the elliptical or treadmill, and we both like the weights. Back again tonight for some more training, then we hope to have a regular schedule of Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. There are a couple of classes I’m interested in taking, too; even yoga! Wish our old bones luck.

Had a fantastic weekend, boy oh boy. Friday was date night at Cobblestones (again) followed by Karaoke with Dave’s nephew, sister and a few friends (no, I don’t sing; yes, Dave does).

Saturday I cleaned up the spare room enough so that Dave could plug in his amp, play his guitar and set up his computer…and Wolf could nap on the bed Sooner or later, the bed is going and my futon is coming back, making even more room in there. That afternoon, I ate fried clams & scallops with my friend Megan and her sister Tara and then we went to a Bare Minerals party, where I got all made up.

Sunday we got an early start, off to breakfast with Michelle in her hometown, then a visit from my friend Laura and her girlfriend, Micky. Dave and I took a long walk after he got the boiled dinner started and ended up in a small cemetery, where we walked around reading the inscriptions on the headstones and sitting on a wall, soaking up the sun. Dinner at home, followed by a movie (Rambling Rose, eh), followed by a bit of Harry Potter and then sleep.

How was your weekend?

Sometimes, I’m damn glad this place isn’t anywhere close by…there’s not even one in my state! Other times…mmmm, man, I dream about Popeyes! Best chicken and biscuits ever.

I had heard a Wegman’s was opening in Northboro, MA…when I checked the site recently, I saw the grand opening will be in October 2011. WOOHOO! Finally, I can treat myself to a pretzel roll and various other delicious Wegman treats!

Wow, was it really 3 years ago that I did this One Object 365 Days Project? Doesn’t seem like that long! Anyway, Skelly & Sakura (and I) wish you all a day filled with just enough food, just enough to drink and lots of fun!
