Here’s the picture from two weeks ago (whoops, sorry!):

And this is what it was cropped from:

Christmas cookies!
Emily was correct: “I’m thinking a Christmas cookie…”
Sally told the story of the Christmas tenticle, though, which made me laugh: “It’s that tenticle again – this time it is arraying itself in its traditional mating colours.
Our stranded tenticle loves earth at this time of the year – because our Christmas decorations are an exact match for the mating costumes back on its home planet.
We should feel sorry for tenticle – all alone on earth at mating time!!!
All dressed up and no where to go and no one to impress!”

December 9, 1922 – December 17, 2005
Mom was on this planet for 83 years and 9 days…and then she was gone. Recently, I spoke with my friend Kris who is a spiritualist and a medium. Kris said both my parents were VERY happy Dave was in my life and that my Mom was taking credit for us meeting (since she’s the one who wanted to send me to the church run group therapy session I originally met Dave at). As long as she’s happy, it’s all good
My cousin, Melodie, sent me this poem the morning after Mom passed:
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!”
“Gone where?”
Gone from my sight. That is all.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
“Here she comes!”
And that is dying.

And here’s what it was cropped from:

Yummy snack of Italian pickled veggies!
Sally from Oz was the only one who got it and she had a pretty funny comment, too: “Looks like cauliflour in the bottom right corner – so something savoury and orange? hmmmmm… Maybe dessert is coming to destroy the main course as it is tired of waiting?”
Sally cracked me up (and Debbie, too, since she thought it said “test!cle”!): “It’s a tenticle from an alien life form disappearing into grandma’s hair!!!”
