kcinnova was the first one to get it: “it’s a pock-marked shell from the beach. Yes?”

Today’s NaBloPoMo prompt is: What’s the first thing you notice about a man when you meet him? A woman? For both a man and woman, I usually notice their eyes first. When I meet someone new, I like to look at the face and see where their eyes go–look back into mine with a smile, or the boobs (it happens…I worked for this guy and every morning he’d say good morning to my b@@bs…I so much wanted to say good morning to his pen!s, but eeeeuuuu) or just look off in the distance (disinterested). Then I take in the rest of the person, face, hands, scent or none, voice.

Today’s prompt is NaBloPoMo: In what ways have you become ‘green’ in the past few years? Do you think that it has made a difference? I was more ‘green’ when I lived in the old house than I am in the condo…the reason is the condo doesn’t have any recycling resources! The main thing I do is save my cans and bottles for the older man who goes to each of the dumpsters to retrieve them. I put ‘em in a bag so he doesn’t have to dig through the trash.

Just another Manic Monday!
Lisa’s back with her Manic Monday questions and I couldn’t be happier! Course I’m a week and a day late, but no worries.
Last week’s:

As an adult, what is your favorite thing about summer? The beach! Swimming in the ocean is so therapeutic to me…even with the news that the BP oil slick is forcing the sharks to OUR beaches! I’ll take the risk…if it’s my time, it’s my time! If cancer didn’t get me…think a great white can?
What was your favorite thing about summer when you were a kid? The same thing that’s my favorite thing about summer as an adult…the beach!!! Also, summer meant I’d get to spend a week or so down the cape hanging with my cousins, and I LOVED that! And frozen milky ways, too…let’s not forget those!
In 2010, it will be the summer of love, baby.
This week’s:

If you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see? Oooh, that’s a tough one…I think blue so I could see the ocean…or maybe green since it’s the color of so many things outside…but then I couldn’t see sunsets…oh, man…
If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be? Hmmm…cameras!!! No, books! No, potato chips! Maybe shiba inus! Hmmm…
Imagine you could go back to the age of five and relive the rest of your life, knowing everything that you know now. You will reexperience your entire adolescence with both the cognitive ability of an adult and the memories of everything you’ve learned form having lived your life previously. Would you lose your virginity earlier or later than you did the first time around (and by how many years)? Well, hmmm…first of all, why five? As to the virginity question, I’d certainly lose it differently and wait til I was with someone I really, truly loved…cause that kind of sex is absolutely the best kind!
Both of these photos are courtesy of my cousin, Melodie, who stayed at the beach house with me for a couple days with her daughter, Jin. I was so glad they could make it, and we had a lot of fun wandering the beach and walking around Provincetown!

Today’s prompt is NaBloPoMo: Tell us everything you know about the day you were born. Hmmm…well, I felt like I was sliding down a dark tunnel with a light at the end…hmmm…doesn’t that also sound like how people describe dying? You come into the world the same way you leave? Hmmm…I must go ponder this awhile! I know I was born in a hospital in Boston around 7 in the morning via c-section. I know Dad dropped me on my head (oops! Explains a lot, eh?). I know I was the first live born (my Mom had a still birth before me), so I’m sure there was some anxiety on both their parts. And I know they were thrilled that I was alive and kicking!
Back to work today…sigh…I miss the Cape so much!!! I miss being in the ocean every day, I miss the sand under my feet. I miss wandering the beach looking for shells.
