Here’s last Wednesday’s picture:

And this is what it was cropped from:

Spicy peanuts from Trader Joe’s!
These folks got it:
– Cheri says: “Peanuts and spices”
- Julie: “Peanuts. Spiced up peanuts.”
- Michelle: “I am coming to this waaayyy late but I say spicy peanuts with extra spices on the dish”
And Robin made me giggle: “Desert island sand and peculiarly orange rocks – are you running off with Jack Sparrow again?”
So…

What is it?

Orange, in all its beauteous hues!

This is my friend’s daughter, N, and she’s addicted to Captain Jack Sparrow, just like me!

Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an air-o-plane
I still couldn’t make it on time
Just another Manic Monday…
Do you enjoy brain teasers or do you find them frustrating? Depends on what they are. Math ones? Incredibly frustrating. Word ones? Not too bad. Photo ones? Even better.
Do you have any unusual collections? Hahaha, of COURSE I do
What do people notice about you within the first hour of meeting you (other than appearance)? That I’m not as I seem…

3rdEyeMuse made a comment on my “hands” entry yesterday: “… but, but … one’s missing … where’s a shot of your hand and the quote?!?” The quote she’s referring to is this tattoo I got last July:

I went on to do a project on flickr, One Object 365 Days, in which you photograph the same object once a day for a year. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish this project, but I did go 197 days! Here’s a collage of my tattoo:

This one, though, is my favorite:

In other news, today my brother and I meet with the realtors (a team of two competent ladies) we chose to sell our parents’ home that they bought in 1960. It was a house my Dad had fallen in love with as he drove past it on the way to work. One day he saw a “For Sale” sign on it and that began the campaign to convince my Mom to move from the city, where she’d lived all her life, to the “suburbs”, where she felt she’d be stuck, since she didn’t drive. For better or worse, he convinced her and they settled into the community, joining the church up the street and the choir, and making friends.
It’s not really bothering me too much, selling the childhood home, since the house needs more work than I can afford. I, in turn, am looking forward to finding a home of my own, probably a condo, probably within 45 minutes of where I work. I only have 4 “musts” on my list: must allow dogs, must be on the top floor, must be in a good neighborhood, must have a condo fee under a certain amount. Of course, I’d love some nice hardwood floors and a balcony and very quiet but friendly neighbors. What would you look for in a new home?
