Smelling good in 2007
MissMeliss made me do it! Recently, she posted about some scents she purchased from Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs. One of the comments on her entry caught my eye, it was about the scent Hetairae. I did a search on Black Phoenix on black opium, and then honey and came up with the following scents that sounded like they’d smell so.damn.good!
Anathema: Black opium, with vetivert and honeysuckle.
Sed Non Satiata: Myrrh, red patchouli, cognac, honey, tuberose, geranium over the darkest musk.
Blood Kiss: Vanilla, honey, clove, red cherries, vetiver, soporific poppy, blood red wine, and a bit of musk
Hetairae: Golden honey, fiery patchouli, sweet fig, clove, and a touch of ylang ylang.
O: Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla.
Bengal: Musk with honey, pepper, clove, cinnamon bark and gingerI ordered 6 Imp Ears from them of these scents…can’t wait to smell ‘em!!!
Also new for me this year, L’Occitane’s Lait d’Ambre (Amber Body Milk). Mmmmm, I love it! Here’s the description: When the sun is slowly setting above the Mediterranean shore, cistus plants fill the air with their delicious ambered perfume. These flowering plants have leaves coated with a highly aromatic resin called labdanum, which is responsible for the scent.
For a perfect example of how everyone experiences scents differently, I wore this to work last week. A co-worker came into my office and said…OMG were you in a smoky bar last night (I wasn’t, it was the Amber body milk scent). However, I went to a local bar NYE and the female bartender asked me what scent I was wearing cause it smelled so good! Actually, that was the Amber lotion mixed with the scent I made, Snape.
Looking forward to any new scents this year?
