Tonight was one of those surreal nights…Michelle and I were having a conversation, suddenly we’re doing shots with the guy seated next to her (he was minding his own business, reading Shogun) and Ned (the bartender, it was so good to see him again! His hair grew out a bit, he put on a bit of muscle, looks hotter than usual) ; then Michelle, the guy next to her and I are talking about animals and testing (he’s a vet tech at Harvard) and the next thing I know I’m in a deep conversation about politics and racial issues with some older black man with a bowtie who graduated from Princeton and finally I’m talking to the guy next to Michelle about LOTR and Harry Potter and how good the books and movies are. Huh??? As usual, Ned charged us like $25.00 for dinner and many, MANY drinks (we were there from 5:30 pm- 10 pm).

How I missed these kinds of nights!

Three of us were evil clowns; one of us had a t-shirt on that said “Can’t Sleep, Clowns’ll Eat Me”. Two of us clowns sat in front of Laurie Cabot’s shop in Salem, MA and just stared at passersby…it totally creeped people out!

Saw this over at Fleur de Lisa’s this morning and thought it would be fun to have YOU ALL answer the questions for me (I see MaryEllen running away very fast!)!

1. If I were to make a collage to describe myself to others, what sorts of pictures or symbols would I include?

2. What do I like to do that other people think is gross (or not fun, if I do nothing at all gross)?

The challenge this week is The Creative Side Of You! Creative, eh? I always say I’m not very creative…except with cooking, so I guess a picture or two of something I made will have to do!

First up is a blueberry shake! I picked the blueberries and added them along with some sugar to vodka to make a lovely blueberry infused alcohol. For a special drink, I mixed some of the blueberry vodka with some Bailey’s…yum!

Here are some scallops I panfried, along with some cherry tomatoes I grew in my garden, with some swiss chard & pasta. Delish!
