is getting THREE new bottles from BPAL, not to mention SIX frimps (free small vials of scent, called imps; when they’re free, they’re referred to as ‘frimps’)…and not being able to smell a one of them!
Before I go on, if you’re so inclined click here to go play What Is It Wednesday!
Back now? Ok, these are the scents I got in the mail on 30 January:
Valentine of Rome – Ecclesiastical incense, Roman flora, and the fruits of martyrdom: cypress, olive blossom, frankincense, myrrh, and blood accord.
This one I wore today; I mixed it with some scent-free lotion and OMGG! I LOVE, ADORE, WANT TO MARRY this scent! It’s in my top 5 favorites of all the BPAL scents I’ve smelled. One of the women at work walked into my office, stopped short, and said…WOW you smell GREAT!
Defututa – Olive blossom, honey, smoky vanilla, cinnamon, jasmine, sandalwood, and champaca flower.
This one smells amazing to me too, and I’ll be giving it a try tomorrow, again, mixed with that lotion. Out of the bottle, it’s a flowery, spicy smell.
Red Lantern – Golden amber, blonde tobacco, Sudanese black coconut, rich caramel, black currant, white opium and delphinium laced with a sensual blend of Asian spice.
This one I didn’t like at all. Smelled like pure butterscotch to me. Maybe it’ll smell different on. Eh.
The frimps (small free vials) are:
Aglaea – Three golden ambers, bright musk, peach wine and myrtle.
Baghdad – Amber, saffron and bergamot with mandarin, nutmeg, Bulgar rose, musk and sandalwood.
Cheshire Cat – Grapefruit, red currant, dark musk, Roman chamomile, delphinium, and lavender.
Hemlock (a nice green color) – no description of the scent of it on the BPAL website, but on the message board, it’s described as herbal, lemony, fresh, clean.
Intrigue – Black palm, with cocoa, fig and shadowy wooded notes.
Lust – red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.
Since I already have an imp of Lust…if anyone would like this one, let me know! If I get more than one request, I’ll draw names
