This week, Carmi’s Thematic Photographic prompt is “My favorite parking spots”.

This is a place I parked my car from oh, about the time I had a car to park, about 1974 til 2009. Not every day, and some of that time I lived far away, but I could always come back to it. The family home

This parking spot has an incredible view! It’s also where I saw a wild fox for the first time…she strolled through the parking lot looking for bits of food.

Any parking spot in this lot would be a favorite! Best Irish breakfast around! It’s called The Keltic Kitchen and it’s found in W. Yarmouth, MA.

One of my very favorite parking spots, and it leads to this lovely camping area (this particular man not included, except for me, what luck!).

This week, Carmi’s Thematic Photographic prompt is “windows”.
Took this up in Portland, Maine while Dave and I were wandering around, checking out the city. It’s gorgeous, and lots of great places to eat…and a fantastic childrens museum, too!
Uncropped

Cropped

I just loved the reflection of the tree in the window!

This week, Carmi’s Thematic Photographic prompt is “what’s for dinner”. Saw this right before dinner and since it drives Dave crazy to have me set up a shot, I took a real quick one while we were saying grace!

Dinner was rib eye steak, bone in; sides were baked beans, spaghetti squash and green beans. Yum!

This week, Carmi’s Thematic Photographic prompt is “somewhat worse for wear”.
My foot (feet, really, and knees) are somewhat worse for wear. They LOOK ok on the outside…but inside? The knee is bone on bone, and sometimes I get wicked cramps in my foot (tried potassium, didn’t help). Perils of aging, I guess!

In this shot, we were walking down the beach when a cramp struck, so Dave was massaging it out.
In this one, I’m not sure if it was the ivy or the brick wall that was somewhat worse for wear…I’d say ivy since the wall is still standing!

This week, Carmi’s Thematic Photographic prompt is “Travel Travel”.
The first two shots are from a trip to Paris in 2005…
This is from the Musée Rodin de Paris:

Identified for me by Loraine, who says: “[This is] Rodin’s “Call to Arms”, or Fierce Angel as [your post on] Flickr refers to it. And this is from when Rodin modelled Project for a Monument to the Defense of Paris in 1879 when a competition was held for a memorial to the defense of Paris during the Franco-Prussian War. In this sculpture, the Genius’, or Spirit of War, wings push downward, beating the air, and the warrior, head thrown back, sinks slowly to the ground. This Angel, is screaming her fury and tries to awaken the warrior, who has fallen in battle to save Paris.”

This is a side street in the Latin Quarter…see the blond? That’s the woman I was traveling with

These are statues I bought for my parents when I lived in Japan. I thought they would get a kick out of them! Of course, now that I’m 20 years older…I am not so sure…
